The Spring Rush!

Spring has finally arrived and with it the never-ending chores on the 'To Do' List!  Does everyone have that overwhelmed feeling?  After a long winter of avoiding the cold weather and keeping the fire stoked, I find the fast pace of spring invigorating.  The sun recharges my batteries and I have renewed energy to accomplish some goals!  If only I could squeeze a few more hours out of the day!

I know I should be busy creating pieces for an upcoming show but I keep getting sidetracked creating for myself!  Here are my new bracelets:

:
Copper Quartz & Ceramic Bracelet

Summer Hippie Bracelet
The focal on this copper bracelet is handmade pottery from Captured Moments.  Isn't it cool?  I picked up a grab bag of pretties as an experiment to see if I would enjoy creating with this type of product and of course I did!  The possibilities are endless.  You can check out Cindy's blog here as well.  She makes a lot of really cool items.

This bohemian/hippie style bracelet demonstrates my love for turquoise and the orange beads represent multiple sclerosis awareness.  I really like this style.  This bracelet will go with everything summer!

I've been feeling bad for not posting the past few weeks but.......let me be honest.  The real reason I've been slacking is that I just can't seem to tear myself away from that new grandson of mine!  He's so much fun to look after while his mom and dad go to work!  And how lucky am I to live right next door!

Marshall is six months old now and is crawling about and discovering his world.  It's fascinating to see the world through his eyes.  He's an easy keeper and like a puppy will eat anything.  He loves peas and butternut squash!  Need I say more?  Oh, and he's got his firth tooth!

Well dear readers, I just wanted to say hello and let you know what I've been up to.  Feel free to leave a comment and ask me a question!  And don't forget Mother's Day is coming.  You can shop in my store for some beautiful bracelets, necklaces, anklets and earrings.  There's even a few items on sale.  Thanks for dropping by and Namaste!

Valleyview Home Show a Success!

I'm very proud to share that I had a very successful weekend at the Valleyview Home Show March 30 & 31.  It was the first public showing of my jewelry and I was nervous.  It's always nerve wracking displaying the things you love for sale and wondering how they will go over.  Just because I love the stuff doesn't mean everyone else will

As it turns out people loved my line!  They especially liked the big, bold pieces.  I sold tons of necklaces and lots of bracelets.  I discovered that people are interested in having their old jewelry re-purposed, which is something I love to do.  And they're also interested in coming to my home for private shopping!  I'm having a lot of fun doing something I love!  Thank you to everyone that stopped by my display to chat and shop!

Here are pics of a few of the pieces that have new homes!  I'll miss them....

I loved this bone goddess!

The next event I'm attending is the Valleyview Trade Show.  It takes place May 11/12 at the Valleyview Polar Palace.  The trade show will be in the arena and the home-based businesses will be in the curling club and that's where you will find me.  I'll have all kinds of new items for sale!

I don't know why, but it didn't occur to me to take a pic of my display!  Shame on me.  Next time I will for sure!  I guess I really was nervous!

Thanks for dropping by and Namaste!
