Tomorrow is Reveal Day for Lori Anderson's 6th Bead Soup Blog Hop. I'm so excited. I've been working on my pictures and can't wait to share my pieces.
Getting ready to make soup!
Today though, I'm going to talk about another hobby of mine. Songwriting and my love for the piano and music.

My love for the piano goes back to when I started taking lessons at the age of 8.  Music can be so uplifting and it's the thing I turn to when I need to clear my head space.  I began composing and writing songs five years ago out of the blue - after my daughter survived a very tragic event in her life.  I never had a desire to do this before - it just sorta happened.  It was what I did to get through that very difficult period of our lives.

Now that my daughter seems to have landed back on her feet I have new found musical energy in me.  Not only do I feel the desire to share my music but I've got all kinds of melodies and lyrics running through my head and heart that require development!  I've had a ReverbNation website for a few years but haven't given it the attention it deserves until now!  I had tons of music just sitting in my recorder waiting! I invite everyone to drop by and listen to my pieces!  Become a fan!  Leave a comment!  I'd really love to hear from you.  I go by the name Gypsy Road.

The first two songs I wrote are Heart Full Of Memories, an instrumental and All That's Left Are The Memories, a song dedicated to the memory of my daughter's friend.

Thank you for coming by today and please be sure to stop by tomorrow for the big reveal, okay?  I'll leave you with a quote by Hans Christian Andersen:  "Where words fail, music speaks."  Namaste.
